Beta: Personal Podcast: If you have recently purchased an MP3 download and are iTunes savvy, you might want to try out a work-in-progress, our Personal Podcast. The way this currently works is that you can enter a URL in iTunes. Launch iTunes, and then choose the Advanced: Subscribe to Podcast menu, and enter:
http://www.humanmedia.org/mypodcast
You'll then be prompted for your Humanmedia username and password.
We are still working on this, so it may NOT work reliably--and this is completely separate from any Apple or iTunes password that you may use. Send feedback to pptest@humanmedia.org.
We recently stumbled upon an interview with producer David Freudberg from PRI's "To the Best of Our Knowledge", so give that a listen!
We have improved our online audio player so it's more iTunes-like and easier to use. Check it out!
Spread the word
Thanks to your requests, we are embarking on a project to provide more links from our site to other places on the internet where you can learn more about the topics in our broadcasts. Check out the bottom of any Program Info page for the "New: Related Website(s)" area. They're also collected en masse on our Links page in the information menu.
We have also started linking to relevant books at Amazon.com. Purchases through this link provide additional funding for our broadcasts and website maintenance.
We're not just linking to related sites, we are undergoing a campaign to get sites all over the web to link to us in an effort to bring in new visitors. If you have a blog or other website we encourage you to add a link to our site. If you would like to help by suggesting a related link or linking to our site, please drop a note to links@humanmedia.org. Please include the following information:
URL of Website
Your name and email
The relevant program page (if applicable)
Contact information of site administrator/webmaster
