Update on our documentary “Children Left Behind”

15 years ago, we profiled Chesa Boudin, who movingly recalled his experiences as a very young child when he would visit his parents, both in prison. In November 2019 Chesa, now a Yale Law School grad and a leading advocate of criminal justice reform, was elected District Attorney of San Francisco at age 39. Hear the remarkable story of the early experiences that shaped his life in our documentary about the large population of children with incarcerated parents: Children Left Behind.
